Tuberculosis is a public health emergency in Somalia. The estimated incidence is extremely high all over the country, and the long-standing complex emergency combined with natural disasters has negatively affected the TB epidemiology. The goal of the project is to decrease the burden of TB in Lower Shabelle Region by supporting 3 TB centers in Merka, Qoryoley and Brava hospitals with emphasis on accessibility, affordability, quality, equity, sustainability and patient satisfaction in line with the Millenium Development Goals. The Program targets people suffering from TB (including multi drug resistant TB patients) with a special focus on IDPs and host communities. In order to ensure the best quality of care to the beneficiaries, the project will also support the procurement and the maintenance of medical equipment at hospital level and the implementation of outreach activities to guarantee the provision of health services to the most isolated and hard-to-reach areas. | 291,520 | Paid Contribution | Incoming | ||
