This project aimed at improving the living conditions of Syrian IDPs in camps and urban areas in Idleb through the delivery of shelter repair kits. The shelter repair kits were designed and conceived to adapt the content both to tent-type shelter and urban shelters. During the course of the project, the areas of operations were affected by different waves of displacement, therefore winter kit were distributed to newly arrived IDPs in the months of winter.

This project aims at improving the shelter living conditions of IDPs and host communities living in urban areas and whose shelters are damaged by the violence of the conflict. This project focuses on more sustainable repairs by repairing walls, ceilings, cracks, replacing doors and windows with safe and unharmful material, improving isolation, etc. In addition, during the winter months, families suffer most in their shelter if the isolation and moisture level is not good. therefore heating fuel and winter shelter NFI items are distributed.

This project contributes to the repair and maintenance of water supply stations to provide safe drinking water to IDPs and host population. WASH centres have been rehabilitated in IDP camps given that the number of IDPs in the camps has increased. In order to have a comprehensive WASH programme the focus was also on the hygiene promotion. The other main activities revolved around the garbage collection where families have been provided with garbage bins. Finally to face the emergency crisis after several waves of displacements, hygiene kits and baby kits are distributed throughout the project.

Private clinics are also provided with medicines and medical equipment to be able to treat patients.
