Description The project will support stakeholders and partners at both regional and national levels. FAO’s regional technical and operational expertise will be extended to national and regional decision-makers, including governments and regional bodies (CILSS, PREGEC and RPCA), bringing together both humanitarian and development actors , to improve and coordinate their work on DRR and resilience strengthening. Regional bodies and institutions, governments, NGOs and other civil society stakeholders will benefit from this intervention through the exchange of information as well as advocacy and joint programming activities. Indirectly, the project will benefit vulnerable food-insecure communities in West Africa and the Sahel (e.g. households and communities, including IDPs and refugees, affected by animal diseases, conflicts, droughts, high food prices, floods and locust outbreaks).
