In line with CIL’s Emergency Response Strategy we are engaging with two experienced local partners (Nusaned and Anera), to provide essential repairs and rehabilitation to the homes of the most vulnerable households directly affected by the Beirut Blast, subject to minor and medium damage. Linked to wider settlement and livelihood impacts: the shelter implementation modality involves engaging local youths (who are part of existing vocational training with Anera in carrying out the assessments repairs and rehabilitation under the supervision of engineers, through a cash for work modality directly managed by the partner. The key locations will be areas directly affected by the blast and surrounding smaller neighbourhoods.
