Emergency assistance and shelter as part of a coordinated humanitarian response to address the devastation of a catastrophic fire which raged through camps 8E, 8W, 9, 10 and 11 on March 22nd – leaving over 45,000 people displaced and the complete destruction of 10,000 shelters. The emergency response approach of this project is split into two main activities: 1. Provision of immediate material assistance (water, dry food, non-food items) to the newly displaced to address their urgent basic needs; 2. Provision of emergency shelter materials and support to replace/rehabilitate destroyed or damaged homes.
