The primary purpose is to provide regular meals to students and teachers in schools supported by the Bishop Gassis Rescue and Relief Foundation (BGRRF) in Turalei, Mayen Abun and Agok/Abyei parishes. The secondary objective is to strengthen the education system in South Sudan so that more young people can enjoy a proper education and reduce the dropout rate and decrease the abstention rate. At the moment many young people are not attending school because of the food crisis in the country. Therefore, the project aims to improve the capacity of school administrations and parent-teacher associations to manage the school feeding programme in Turalei, Mayen Abun and Agok/Abyei parishes. |
